End of August Assessment

Cool, Windy & Wet

Back from camping. Was a lot of fun, but the last night we had gales with heavy rain - so slept in car!!

Haven't been down lotty yet so will post some new photos soon and of course the end of month review!!

Back to the weather - there appears to be an early start to autumn going on at the moment with trees going brown and temps (today) getting to a dizzy 14 degrees!! Set to get below 10 degrees at night (low of 6) and not much warmth.Will wait and see...

VegetableBen Goes Camping!!

Off to the lovely Devon today!! Camping!! ...sadly is a bit drizzly and overcast.

Anyway, lotty is looking a bit damp and the cool (average) temps are making everything look a bit autumnal.

Looks like the tomatoes have got some blight but am managing to get some ripening and rescuing them for eating. Also, have got what I think is a Butternut squash (or a pumpkin) - that is doing well. Courgettes, Peas, Sweetcorn and Runner Beans all seem to be  loving this weather.

Right.....off camping....
